[KPhotoAlbum] Building kphotoalbum with Fink and Apple toolchain

I'm attempting to build kphotoalbum (from SVN) on my wife's iBook, and the 
configure process complains that the copy of GCC on the system (4.0) is known 
to be problematic.

I can't switch to the 3.3 compiler because Fink builds all of the Qt, and KDE 
libs with 4.0.

Is there a recommended solution?  I'm going to try just hacking the test for 
4.0 out of the configure script and building it anyway.
