Oh, I see!  :-)

But I think the label “Current Search” is too ambiguous in this case. It made 
me think that it was talking about my current search by “Exif Info” on the 
main screen. Additionally, as I didn't see any text field, I didn't expect to 
be able to type anything on this dialog.

On the thumbnail view, you can resize the grid to your needs just by clicking 
the middle mouse button and dragging around. On most systems you can emulate 
the middle mouse button by left and right clicking at the same time.
