[KPhotoAlbum] Poor performance while deleting images

Deleting images is very slow -- I deleted several images (using the
delete key and selecting the option to delete the images) near the end
of my 11000 image database and kphotoalbum (the 01/28 snapshot) takes
about a minute to return.

This appears to be completely reproducible.
