[KimDaBa] Kimdaba on Ubuntu 5.04

[Snip long story....] and I ended up installing Kubuntu on my desktop. I
have been very disappointed in trying to get Kimdaba 2.1 running, unable
to find a deb package for it, and unable to successfully compile it frm
source.

Any hints on which way I should turn from here?
