It allows you to quickly set properties during a slideshow, without bothering
you with a dialog box that would interrupt your slideshow. 
Just hit any key in the Viewer ( Old joke : there is no "Any Key" on
my keyboard).
With that you sorted out the pictures you wanted to print, where there
was a missing person, whatever you want, and you can find them quickly
using those tokens
(a token = all pictures for which you hit a given keystroke)
