Okay .. if you want a challenge, you can try doing auto-tags based
on .. well, whatever you want.
It'd have to be a fairly unintrusive / suggestive tagging approach
otherwise it'd be just irritating. But it's where a few commercial
packages are probably going to try going in the future.
Take context either from the images near the one currently being
modified (I've seen this touted elsewhere, though the way most people
use KimDaBa in multi-image tagging first, and then individually tag
images, and anything that matches more than one image has probably
already been tagged). Actually, ignore that paragraph.
The far more interesting (and slightly less impossible than writing a
panorama feature) task would be to auto-suggest People by doing some
face-matching within the image. It'd be *really* neat if it could learn
the different faces by finding the common faces in other images, but even
if you nominated specific areas on a number of existing pictures it'd
still be a pretty damned neat feature.
