I have a different reason for wanting a database backend, someday:  multi-user 
concurrent access.  Of course, just putting a different backend in place 
won't make that possible, but it's a large first step.

One way you know your software is good is when lots of people wish it were 
better, each in their own way... it means your stuff is so good they'd rather 
see their pet feature added to it, rather than look for something else that 
does what they want.
