Hello,
as you know, the point of Kimdaba is that a folder hierarchy is too
rigid and doesn't provide enough info to find easily your pictures
when you begin to have a lot of them.
Kimdaba solves this problem by allowing to set whatever property you
want on each picture.
But I think that many people like me do keep a certain structure in
the folder hierarchy.
For me, it's as simple as <date>_little_comment :
/autre/Photos
|-- 2002-06-06_mariage_cecile
|-- 2002-06-23_mariage_cecile
|-- 2002-06-24_Photos_du_rep
[...]
So, even if the folder hierarchy is too rigid, that is still an
interesting way to filter your pictures.
My basic idea is to simply add a << Property >> named << Folder >>,
just like Persons, Locations and Keywords, but which will be set
automatically for you[1].
I've done that manually for the demo.

Use it like that :
$ tar xvf kimdaba_with_folder_demo.tar
$ kimdaba -c kimdaba-demo-jmfayard/index.xml
Comment and flames welcome !
[1] A quick look at the code may me guess that we can do this by
modifying the two ImageInfo::ImageInfo() functions. Then those
properties live in the RAM and will not be saved in the index.xml file
