Hi Jesper, now, with kdenetworks3 (and kdegraphics3 which was not
perfectly installed) the EXIF information is read perfectly. Thank you!
The slideshow still doesn't go fullscreen. I will see if I can
understand
what's going wrong in the next days.

I forgot to say that there is a problem when compiling libkexif:
libtool complains. This is because libintl is not linked automatically.
I don't know whether it is a problem of my fink installation or if the
makefile should be changed. Anyways, I type make in
kdeextragears-libs-1, then, when the compilation stops, I do
cd libkexif
and copy in the shell the libtool command that failed, adding a -lintl.
In my case, this reads

/bin/sh ../libtool --silent --mode=link --tag=CXX g++
-Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -W -Wpointer-arith
-Wwrite-strings -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fno-common
-DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST -DQT_NO_STL -DQT_NO_COMPAT
-DQT_NO_TRANSLATION -o libkexif.la -rpath /sw/lib -L/sw/lib
-L/usr/X11R6/lib -R /sw/lib -R /sw/lib -R /usr/X11R6/lib
-no-undefined kexif.lo kexifentry.lo kexifdata.lo kexifutils.lo
kexififd.lo kexiflistview.lo kexiflistviewitem.lo -lqt-mt -lz -lXext
-lX11 -lSM -lICE -lpthread -lkdecore -lkdeui -L/sw/lib -lexif -lm
-lintl

                              ^^^^

Then, I cd .. and type again make to resume the build process.

Regards,
Marco
