[KimDaBa] getting started, with a large image directory

I have 12,354 images, well arranged by subject in a complex directory 
tree.  Kimdaba took all these and placed them in groups of 100.  It 
would be an impossible task to rearrange the images back into some kind 
of logical order, so I imagine that I should be importing the 
directories one at a time, yes?

I would welcome a couple of pointers on this to get me started.
