I also read this has been fixed in 4.7.x but I'm using Kontact 4.8 (opensuse
12.1) and it doesn't work. The behavior is as described.

Both the contact and the calendar resource are akonadi-google-resources.
Perhaps this is important. If any additional info. is needed please let me
know.
