Thanks for looking at this, Sergio.

Actually (assuming if 4.6 refers to KDE and not to korganizer), on the
problematic computer I still have no access to an existing imap calendar (works
fine on two other computers and I can access the account for mail). If I try to
add a new one in the following way

Add calendar -> Akonadi -> Manage Calendar Sources -> Add 

the Kolab Groupware Server option does now exist, but it is greyed out and
cannot be selected.

I suspect that there was a problem with migration of existing resources through
the various compatibility mechanisms at some point (to resolve another issue I
had a mixture of debian testing and unstable packages for a while, which may
not have helped). What would be the least invasive way of starting afresh? Or
otherwise test.
