Thank you for the quick response and the explanation. There is however another
inconsistency:
When the event is double-clicked (i.e., modified), it displays as "7:30
Europe/Berlin" in the edit dialog - according to your explanation, I would
expect "5.30 UTC" instead.

The event comes from Outlook 2003 originally - I will check whether or not it
is possible to add the correct time zone information there and avoid UTC
coding.
