When moving a recurring event, the event is deleted instead of being moved. To
reproduce:
1) Create weekly-recurring event
2) Browse to a later event (such as three weeks into the future)
3) Drag the event to a new date and time
4) Select "Also Future Occurrences"

The event is deleted, not moved. All future occurrences are untouched.
