Summary: Remote ftp-calendar doesn't remember user account
information
Product: korganizer
Version: 4.3.1
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: korganizer-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: andreas at pietzowski.de
Version: 4.3.1 (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
I use KDE 4.3.1 from September 1st and this bug is still there:
When you have a remote FTP ical file like
ftp://username@domain/directory/file.ics then korganizer asks for the password.
I check the option "remember password". I guess it should be stored in my
KWallet but there is no entry about that in my wallet file. After 10 minutes
(my refresh interval of the remote file) a pop-up appears on my desktop and
requests me to enter my password for the FTP account. The strange thing is that
the password is already typed into the password field and also the username. I
only have to press OK and it works.
But it is really time consuming and annoying that I have to press the OK button
every 10 minutes again and again.
When I extend the remote URL with username:password it seems that the
authentication works without a pop-up. but I don't want to store the password
in my plain KOrganizer settings.
Thanks for fixing :)
