I don't agree.

For most users the description field isn't changed much, if we implement your
wish they will complain. And the last two lines can be out of context, for
example a middle of a sentence.

You have several good solutions:

1) Use the Event viewer, which shows the whole description.

2) Use the tool tip, just pass your mouse over the task and you will see the
description.
