The problem also happens for events which repeat daily. I created 2 repeat
events on 6 July that started on 7 July and then repeat daily until the end of
August. On 7 July the events were shown correctly, but today the starting date
is set to 8 July and the event on 7 July is no longer shown. I created one of
the events with an alarm and the other without an alarm, but that does not make
any difference.

I enclose my test calendar file, where you can see what happened.
