I did the folllowing:
On 2009-06-20 I created a test event on 2009-06-21 that lasted 1 hour and
repeated weekly.
On 2009-06-21 the event was still there (as you reported).
On 2009-06-28 the event's start date was set to 2009-06-28. After setting
it back again on 2009-06-29, the event was visible in the week view until
today. Again today it has the start date set to 2009-07-05.
That is why I first reported that it seemd to be associated with akonadi.
Maybe the problem only occurs on the first repetition and not on the first
occasion.
I have not tried a daily event. I will do that today and can report on
Tuesday or Wednesday on what happened.
