hmm.. I don't see anything obviously wrong there.
works here, of course.

I wonder if your korgacrc got borked somehow.

Maybe try:
1) quit kontact (or korganizer)
2) kill korgac
3) mv ~/.kde/share/config/korgacrc ~/.kde/share/config/korgacrc.save
4) start kontact (or korganizer)

and then try the reminder experiment again.
