I can also conclude that this issue is related to the storage of photos
associated in the contacts.

The more users I select to have their photo synced between the contacts and
their photo in kopete, the slower it gets.

It is now as slow as it was before I had cleaned the contacts.

I wonder if people have the same problem in KDE4?
