In 4.2.0 (official Gentoo ebuilds) I also have the recurring events modifying
themselves occasionally.

Only in my case:
* the start date changes to the current date (or appropriate date of the
current week)
* in the start date's year changes occasionally (e.g. it says "10.02.9") and
when editing it becomes apparent that the year in question is now meant as 9
A.D. (and not 2009 A.D. as originally set)
* the start time changes to -1h (e.g. an event that should occur from 10:00 to
12:30, after the bug kicks in occurs from 09:00 to 12:30)
