Thanks for your input.  Unfortunately, it's a matter of timeline.  I expect to
stay on Fedora 11 (KDE 4.2) for some time.  The ideal situation would be for
the CalDAV resource to be included in the KDE-PIM 4.2 source tree as an update.
 However, a viable alternative would be to deploy it to users as a separate
RPM.  Since I need CalDAV functionality now, writing the resource seems like
the safest and most straightforward approach.
