While the Akonadi approach might be reasonable for some, the interface between
KOrganizer and Akonadi is still a bit cumbersome when compared to the direct
KResource system.

The following project may provide a good starting point to develop a CalDAV
connector:

I am willing to put in some time to modify this code to use libcaldav instead
of WCAP.  However, I would appreciate some help from the others who are also
interested in this functionality.  If I can find a couple of volunteers, we
should be able to get it implemented.
