there is now also RSCDS , which seems to be the easiest-to-install standalone calendar server (no complete groupware blabla, just calendaring, which is great for people having another email provider)

currently i use plain WebDAV with apache, but as my calendar grows, it starts to get more flaky (crashing, loosing data, errors "cannot save calendar" eg ...)
