Joining Project for GSOC 2018

I'm Anuj, a first year undergraduate in Computer Science. I would like to
work on the project "Write tests and Improve protocol support" for the GSOC
2018.
I have researched thouroughly and understood the project. Kindly guide me
on proceeding with the same.
