Summary: Kopete loses new/unread messages after crash
           Product: kopete
           Version: 1.0.80
          Platform: Unlisted Binaries
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: History Plugin
        AssignedTo: kopete-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: exabyte at 3mhz.net

Version: 1.0.80 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Any messages received just before a crash of Kopete, X or the system are lost.
Additionally, even if they are recorded, there is no indication that new
messages have been received that were unread and the user needs to manually
list the logs each time before starting Kopete.

For example, if I start Kopete on a remote X screen using ssh and X forwarding,
and the remote machine crashes a few milliseconds after receiving a message,
the message is not available in the logs. If the crash happens a few minutes
after the message has been received, the message is recorded but when Kopete is
started there is no notification about it.

Reproducible: Didn't try
