I have the same problem. After a bit of testing I found out that the reason why
my password showed as incorrect was because it contains special characters. I
changed my password a few times an got this results:

Alpha-numeric only : OK, logged in with no problem
Alpha-numeric ending with %: OK
Alpha-numeric ending with $: OK
Alpha-numeric ending with # : Failed, password invalid
Alpha-numeric combining symbols in any order : Failed, password invalid

The password I'm using containing symbols is valid in pidgin and is also valid
in Kopete when using either Gmail or MSN.

I tried using "myaccount" only without the "@ymail.com" and tried changing the
servers for yahoo. Neither worked for me.

Hope this helps in finding the cause of this bug.
