IMHO it is quite relevant that the reason why this happens is because contacts
in kaddressbook have no default display format. If I change the contact's name
display format to any from the list, the name in Kopete appears.

Anyway - the problem still persists.

Can anybody redirect me to some tutorial on how to write code and test it in
kde pim applications? I have a significant ammount of time to get this fixed.
