Summary: Kopete history falsely warns of unread message
           Product: kopete
           Version: 1.0.80
          Platform: Debian unstable
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: eljefedelito at gmail.com

Version: 1.0.80 (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS: Linux

Using the [Alt][Arrow] key on a Jabber contact (OpenFire server) to page
through previous chats/history, there are often popups about unread messages
which aren't accurate:

"You have received a message from ****** in the last second. Are you sure you
want to clear this chat?"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Use [Alt][Left-arrow] to go back three or four pages in chat history, and then
[Alt][Right-arrow] to go forward in chat history. Usually I get the warning
going either way, but always when going 'forward' in time.

Actual Results:
Error message pops up:

"You have received a message from ****** in the last second. Are you sure you
want to clear this chat?"

Expected Results:
The error shouldn't pop up unless I really do have an unread message.

This is causing a 'Cry Wolf' situation which causes the user to dismiss that
popup every time; when there is actually a new message it may be missed due to
this bug, as the recipient may just dismiss the pop up (yet again).

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem
Compiler: cc

Thanks for Kopete and for KDE!
