Well, since this is a popup that only appears when you hover the contact, it
would be contradicting if it would stay once you remove the mouse from the
contact.
But of course you are right and there should be an option to click a link in a
status.
Maybe when you open up a chat window, every time the contact changes its
status, it should be displayed in the chat window...
