I dont know if this is related but I have also discovered that PSI has the same
issue.

Im using

Fedora12 with all updates as of (5/3/10)
Psi 0.14
Qt 4.6.2

I try to connect to the same jabber server as I discussed before and get
similair symptoms. After a while PSI errors with "TLS Handshake error"

The thing to note is that Kopete and PSI are both based on Qt
