Yes, in fact my original assumption was that Kopete was unable to handle my
password due to either length and or complexity.  I was thinking maybe if it
encrypt/encodes it to send it over some character was incorrectly represented
and thus the server denied the request.  So I tried changing the password,
vuala!  However, whilst this test gave validity to my assumption I am still at
a loss on how to solve the issue...

BTW, I do not store my password with KWallet or any other password storing
program including kopete (I feel it to be unsafe).
