  One of the major annoyances of KDE4-kopete is that it starts to discard
previous messages as soon as a chat lasts longer. However unless you don`t talk
about unnecessary things you will be in the need to scroll up and see what has
been messaged before. This is vital for any chat program especially if you want
to keep history of your chats or save important chats. I personally will not
use KDE4-kopete as long as this deficiency persists.
