There's nothing in the log, try this start "kdebugdialog" and enable all kopete
entries and start Kopete from console and you hopefully will see a lot of debug
messages (most likely will only work in KDE SC 4.4), if you see the debug
messages start kopete with "kopete --nofork &>kopete.log" and this will log all
the debug info into kopete.log file ... so wait till jabber disconnects and
then send the log to my mail (kedgedev (at) gmail.com).

If this doesn't work we could try gdb or compile Kopete with enabled debug.
