I really understand this. I've just upgraded to KDE 4.3 on openSUSE 11.1, using
a clean install (wiped my hard drive; installed openSUSE 11.1 with KDE 4.1;
upgraded to KDE 4.3), so there should be no personal, customized settings on my
system.

Nevertheless, connecting to the Yahoo protocol STILL doesn't work (even when
using different accounts, so it's not a matter of my getting the usernames /
passwords right), despite the fact that others have told me that it works for
them. What is it about my computer that doesn't work?
