https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216487

Summary: links to webpages should not be prefetched
           Product: kopete
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kopete-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: m.wege at web.de

Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I just received some spam via the skype chat plugin containing some links. Then
I saw some notifications seeing that the pages there were contacted and then a
popup asked me if I want to accept the cookies of that webpages. I am very
astonished about this behaviour. I do not know if kopete is directly
responsible or not. But since this is something which I would call at least a
privacy-problem, may be a security-leak, this behaviour of what seems to be a
kind of link-prefetching feature (no pages was openend) needs to be turned of
in kopete.
