I am using opensuse 11.1 and 

'kde4-kopete-4.2.85-77.1.x86_64.rpm' 

package from 
'KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop/openSUSE_11.1' repo.

Now I'm using 

'kde4-kopete-4.2.3-1.4.x86_64.rpm' package 

from 'KDE:42/openSUSE_11.1' repo, 

and it works fine (no crashes or 0 contacts)
