I'm running KDE 4.2.3 at the moment and the history view still looks terribly
because it wastes space. It could be much more compact. I looked in the source
code and it seems that the window shows html text where each message is shown
with timestamp, nick and the message text - but the message text is enclosed in
<p> tag. So it has empty line before and after the message text. I was not able
to find out where that comes from.

However, ideally, the history plugin would use the same style as is the chat
window style configured in configuration.
