I have to reopen this bug. Last session I tested the "solution" by 

1) setting a protocol-icon to blue
2) applied
3) checked, that icon is blue in kopete status bar
4) go to settings again and checked checkbox for standard-color
5) color was set to black, and icon had original color

but now..
6) after shutdown/reboot the icon is black!!
7) I cannot get it to original color, even not by checking the checkbox (which
selects black as color)
