I kopete deployed on the second desktop:

I turn next to the first desktop and click on the icon in the tray - moving to
the second desktop with kopete:
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/3383/screen24.png. You can see that the box
shifted slightly down and right. Then, if you double-click on the icon in the
tray on the current desktop, the window down, and then spread to the original
normal position.

This bug I have seen with earlier versions of kde4. On kde3 behavior was
predictable.
