This problem still exists in todays kopete svn from kde4. I disabled everything
in notifications, but kopete won't shut up. The best for me would be:

kopete just tries to stay connected as best as it can. If it does disconnect,
it should be possible to supress this message in notification settings. So that
you can have a totally quiet kopete.
