I have a similar problem, but not sure if it's related to this bug...

If I select user from the drop-down list, it perfectly adds.
But if I type part of the name (kopete autoselects first match then), contact
won't appear in the list.

Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2)
Kopete: 0.60.2
Kubuntu: 8.10 x64
