I think it is also an usability issue.

When clicking "View Contant's Webcam" or "Send Webcam" shoud recieve an instant response for your action telling (1) what you have done and (2) what will happen. Something like "$yournick requested webcam. Waiting for $contact_nick approval.". All this in a text like when you send a nudge. Not recieving an intant response makes user untrust the application.
