My Hunch is that the crash was caused due to unresolvable services (on a large
network)

I had faced this bug before, but if I tried to connect 3-4 times, it stopped
crashing, and I was unable to reproduce since then.

Could you tell me if this is commit did, in fact solve the problem for you?
