I have been able to consistently reproduce this in recent trunk for a while
now.  I will attach a network trace.

If I repeatedly try to connect (I mean like, a dozen or more times), after a
while it will connect and stay connected.  But then I hit bug 156296 (it
disconnects), and the cycle repeats.
