In Kopete-kde4.1 I can't control the protocol priority at all! Neither globally nor per contact! In the configuration dialog there is no up/down buttons and I can't rearrange icons for individual contacts. So if contact is offline, jabber chat window will open on double-click no matter what I do.
I use kopete from KUbuntu packages.
