This is (maybe) not related to the other reports which only claim to concern an unfocused chat window. I have this with only one tab in an active (focused) chat window:

Sometimes kopete doesn't scroll completely down to show the newest message. Sometimes the newest message is hidden below, and I have to scroll completely down using the scroll-bar or the mouse-wheel. This seems quite random to me, I didn't notice any effect when resizing the chat window. And it often works fine again after a while.
