Looks like a qt4 vlc plugin is getting loaded:
#9  0x00007ffff7ded9a3 in _dl_open (file=0x1791150
"/usr/lib/vlc/plugins/gui/libqt4_plugin.so", mo

and that causes the crash (mixing qt4 and qt5 in same process is bad).

Bouncing over to phonon-vlc for comment, but possible this is a downstream bug.
