As discussed on IRC: 

could you please add a possibility to resize the nick text box to a sane width
without restarting konversation? I managed to have it use ~50% of the available
width ... 

You suggested limiting it to NICKLEN, which is a sane and good idea. In
addition to that I think it would be nice if you could maybe also change it on
nick change to something like it is on startup  (which looks like
current_nick_lenght + ~2 characters) to avoid wasting space that can be used on
the input lenght. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Change nick to something incredibly long by pasting something in the nick
textbox
2) Receive an error due to it being longer as NICKLEN
OR
- Change the nick to something long on purpose  (yes, stupid idea, but some
people do that) 
- Change nick back to a sane lenght
Actual Results:  
Nick box takes up a lot of horizontal space (up to 50% is what I achieved),
thus limiting available space for the input text box

Expected Results:  
Nick box is resized to sane width
