Bug ID: 332731
Summary: auto-spellcheck state is inconsistent upon startup
Classification: Unclassified
Product: konversation
Version: 1.5
Platform: FreeBSD Ports
OS: FreeBSD
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: inputline
Assignee: konversation-devel at kde.org
Reporter: cluebat at mailinator.com
After enabling auto-spellcheck for the inputline, the option remains checked
across restarts of Konversation. However, the internal state is inconsistent
with the indicated state. After restarting, more often than not, spellchecking
is not actually enabled but the option appears as checked. Toggling the state
actually enabled auto-spellcheck for real.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Turn on auto-spell check
2. Exist and restart Konversation
3. Type gibberish and observe no marked spelling errors
4. Toggle auto-spellcheck state
5. Observe that nonsense words are now marked as misspellings
Actual Results:
With steps 1-3, misspelling go unnoticed. performing step 4 corrects this.
Expected Results:
Step 4 should not be necessary and step5 should be step 3.
spelling language is US English, nothing strange that should cause any trouble
